Experimental evaluation of normal and shear delamination in cellulose-based materials using a cohesive zone model

نویسندگان

چکیده

An experimental study to characterize properties controlling delamination of paperboard is presented. The normal and shear traction–separation laws are measured evaluated using a double cantilever beam (DCB) split (SCB) specimen. DCB-experiments provides separation data in good agreement with results alternative techniques. From the data, both fracture resistance obtained. A length parameter introduced. allows for cohesive law be obtained from dimensionless master curve which valid loading. Taking advantage curve, mixed-mode potential proposed. implemented as user interface finite element code. As final test, setups DCB SCB specimens simulated validate identified properties.

The proper generalized decomposition for the simulation of delamination using cohesive zone model

The use of cohesive zone models is an e cient way to treat the damage, especially when the crack path is known a priori. This is the case in the modeling of delamination in composite laminates. However, the simulations using cohesive zone models are expensive in a computational point of view. When using implicit time integration scheme or when solving static problems, the non-linearity related ...

the effectiveness of strategy-based instruction in teaching english as a second or foreign language: a meta-analysis of experimental studies

a large number of single research studies on the effects of strategy-based instruction (sbi) in teaching english as a foreign or second language has been conducted so far. however, the lack of a comprehensive meta-analysis targeting the effectiveness of english language sbi is observed. moreover, the findings of experimental studies regarding the context of the english language, proficiency lev...

The effects of shear on delamination in layered materials

The effect of transverse shear on delamination in layered, isotropic, linear-elastic materials has been determined. In contrast to the effects of an axial load or a bending moment on the energy-release rate for delamination, the effects of shear depend on the details of the deformation in the crack-tip region. It therefore does not appear to be possible to deduce rigorous expressions for the sh...

Separation Force Analysis based on Cohesive Delamination Model for Bottom-up Stereolithography Using Finite Element Analysis

Bottom-up (constrain-surface) Additive Manufacturing (AM) systems have been widely used in industry. Compared to traditional open-surface AM technology, properties like better vertical resolution, higher material filling rate, less production time, and less material waste make bottom-up AM technology a suitable candidate for fabrication of complex three dimensional materials with high accuracy....
